The smell of vegetable stir-fry enveloped the dining hall of Garreg Mach Monastery. Under the warmth of bright sunshine, students and faculty alike were either filling their plates or eating at tables. Yet, the day's pristine beauty was tempered by the loudest silence the school had ever heard. In a matter of months, they'd gone from scholars to soldiers as the forces of the Adrestian Empire had plunged the nation of Fodlan into war. For the members of the Black Eagle house, it was even worse. As students of the Empire, the conflict h

A Lost Soul in the Lost Woods
"Oh, not again!" Malon groaned and pried her shoe free from the root that had tripped her up. With the fog of the Lost Woods all around her and the canopy blocking the sky, her internal clock had lost track of time long ago. Every log and rock looked the same, and she felt like she'd been walking in circles, more lost than the horse she'd been trying to find.
Calm down, Malon. Other people have entered the Lost Woods and come out just fine. That whole Stalfos thing is just superstition anyway. You're not going to turn into a monster.
Even if that wasn't the case, she was still hopelessly lost, the trees seeming to shift around h

As the sunbeams rested atop her head and gently coaxed her awake, Olivia rose from her sheets and put on a pair of slippers. The royal chambers of Ylisstol far exceeded the meager cots of the Shepherds' tents, to the point where she struggled to leave them behind. But struggle she did, returning the sheets to their proper place before making her way over to the vanity. Pushing her hair out of her eyes, she took a look at herself in the mirror.
Look at you. You're hair's a mess, your nightwear's wrinkled, and you smell like a barn. Not at all like a future Queen.
A glance down at her finger banished her drowsiness in an instant,
It was supposed to be so easy. All she'd wanted was a simple trip to the theater to enjoy a day of spectacle without getting kidnapped. But just like her trip to Isle Delfino with Mario, trouble had found her even when she wasn't looking for it. The Wicked Grape and her Sour Bunch had trapped her, the theater's guardian Stella, and everyone else inside, leaving her and Stella with no choice but to try and undo the damage. So as Princess Peach made her way into the next part of the theater, she braced herself for what the Sour Bunch had in store for her next.
"Ladies and Gentlemen!" Grape's voice boomed over the loudspeak

Toga's Change of Heart (SyasContest23)
[Massive SPOILERS for Persona 5 Royal. You have been warned.]
Himiko Toga was no stranger to sneaking around in the shadows. They were where she did her best work. With her Transformation Quirk, she could duck into an alleyway and walk out as someone completely different without raising any suspicions. But as her ears caught the sound of several footsteps running in her direction, she cursed as the once-comforting corners and cobwebs now hindered her escape.
"She went this way!" A voice called from the direction she'd come.
"Stay together in case she transforms," called another.

The kingdom of Agrabah was at peace, and its princess was bored out of her mind. It turned out that after battling evil advisors, genies, sorcerers, and the personification of chaos itself, the regular busywork didn't have the same appeal as it used to. With her groom-to-be off negotiating with another kingdom and every threat incapacitated, for now, Princess Jasmine had nothing to do but wander the castle halls aimlessly.
"I never thought I'd see the day when I'd WANT something crazy to happen."
"I'm not surprised." One of her handmaidens, Dahlia, entered the room with two cups of tea. "But even adventurers can't have excitemen

Penny for Her Thoughts
Throughout her days wandering the world, Anna the Merchant had seen many faces enter and exit her humble caravan. Men, women, dragons, witches, and more had all crossed her path. But friend or foe, it didn't matter who came knocking at her door as long as they brought gold. As the bell at the front of the caravan chimed to single a new customer, her ears caught the distinct sound of rustling coins in a bag.
"Welcome to Anna's Caravan, your one-stop shop for all of your needs."
Even by the standards of the people she'd met, this new arrival was still an oddity: a red cape, pink hair, strange leggings, and an outfit that seemed mo
Hello Everyone. Now that my second commission is completed, I thought I'd take a moment to reflect on the overall experience. Wow. Just wow. You know, when I started out with this, I didn't think anything would come of it. So many of my other posts have been lost and forgotten to time, why should this one have been any different? But I don't think I have ever been more wrong in my entire life. Not only am I in demand, but I'm apparently in HIGH demand. Ever since January, FIVE different artists have reached out to me with the desire to work for me. FIVE. One of them drew the comic I recently posted involving two of my book characters while another is taking inspiration from my Snake on Staff story. What are the odds that something like that would happen in the span of just four months? But back to the commissions. Ron and Grant were both kind enough to put their trust in me to create Eloquence commissions for them. And not only did they love the stories, both of them said they'd
